The position reports to the Public Works Operations Supervisor and requires the applicant to maintain a high level of personal integrity while providing fast, friendly and effective customer service. The position performs work on City-owned equipment and regular recurring public works maintenance on other infrastructure. Proficiency with various tools and equipment including hand, electric and gas tools, as well as large equipment including trucks, backhoes and excavators is required.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years experience as a maintenance worker, or in a similar construction field of sufficient length of time to prove competency in the skill areas, and a driving record free of any significant moving violations.
