Notice of Public Hearing - Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program 2020 – 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Blaine City Council will conduct a public hearing on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Blaine City Hall, 435 Martin Street. The following item will be considered: Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program for the City of Blaine, 2020-2025. Projects being considered for inclusion in this proposed program* are as follows:  

  • Boblett Street Traffic Channelization and Corridor Improvements
  • Bell Road Grade Separation and Lane Improvements (2 projects possible)
  • Semiahmoo Bike/Ped Path Improvements, Phase 1 
  • Semiahmoo Parkway Reconstruction/Storm Repair
  • Peace Portal Alley Improvements (Adjacent to RR Grade)
  • City-Wide Pavement Preservation (Annual Program)
  • City Wide Traffic and Pedestrian Safety (Annual Program)

All interested citizens are encouraged to appear and be heard or submit written comments regarding this proposal. Additional information is available from the Blaine Public Works Department at 1200 Yew Avenue, or by telephone at 360-332-8820. Blaine City Hall is an accessible facility. Anyone wishing to attend and participate who may need special accommodation to do so should contact the City Clerk’s office no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled hearing.
